BLOOD

Mitchell “Mac” Cowell is a bitter burger-flipper with big ambitions and poor impulse control. He’s a vampire, after all, he deserves respect, greatness, and most importantly, luxury. But he can never seem to work up the initiative to actually chase his dreams.

One night coming home from work, a mugging goes wrong and Mac ends up with blood on his hands, and in a panic, swears loyalty to the first people to promise him safety from the cops. The vampire mafia. This puts him at the centre of a cold war between great houses that his very presence threatens to boil over.

However, he’s less interested in doing the right thing and more in pursuing his petty personal wants. His refusal to play the hand he’s been dealt is attracting the attention of things much worse than the Humberside Police.

POWER

Andrew and Diane Cowell haven’t been on the best of terms for quite a long time. They were content to just avoid each other for as long as possible. But the mess created by their son has brought the sea-serpent and vampire former lovers back together to pick up the pieces.

Feral beasts roam the streets of Yorkshire, an act of domestic terrorism results in dozens of innocents going missing, and one of the biggest vampire clans threatens to abandon all subtlety and start butchering people in the streets.

Utter carnage is just one misstep away, with only a few people in any position to stop it.

A journey into the past. With the First Crusade at its height, German Baron-regent Johanna conspires to replace her brother on a more permanent basis while he fights abroad, only for him to suddenly return to Germany, speaking of angels hiding in the desert and a desperate need to get to Rome.

Only, he does not. He quickly changes his tone and declares the Crusade can never succeed when the homelands are corrupt. Declaring his own sister a witch, Johanna is forced into exile and assembles an army of outcasts to oppose her brother’s escalating tyranny and madness.

It is then that she finds his talk of angels may have been more than mere faithful zeal.

A collection of short stories. Operatives across the globe investigate bizarre portal activity, missing persons, a summoning gone haywire and worse. Along with the growing concern that these strange activities may somehow be not only related, but a mere herald of what’s to come.
