Game Design.
I’ve been coming up with ideas for games since I was just a kid, and I’ve got home-grown design documents the length of academic essays, this is just a choice selection of projects I’ve worked on.
Three Thing Game Jam - “Scavenger”
My Role: Design & Art
A game jam event run by the University of Hull, contestants are provided three words and have one weekend to turn those three random words into a game!
In our case, the three words we were provided were Finding, Selling, Hyperdrive, and we turned that into a game about exploring deep space to find valuables, then bringing those valuables back to the space station for sale. A fun little experiment!
Project: Avian
My Role - Lead Writer
What started as a spur-of-the-moment response to a talent search online became this, one of the first full game projects I ever worked on.
A magical puzzle-platformer starring Kay, a young girl who loses her sister in the forest. Kay soon finds herself in a much stranger situation, now lost herself in a mystic realm she is forced to team up with a magical owl to unravel the story of the forest and defeat the machinations of an ancient spirit gone rogue.
Tutorial area concept. - Art by Zoe
Project: Cards - [UNDER CONSTRUCTION]
My Role: Creator
A tabletop RPG companion app designed to give inspiration and assistance to Game Masters, as well as inject some spicy randomness to any game you want!
COMING 2024
GameParade Jam 2021 - 2125
My Role: Writer
A game jam run by the group GamesJobsLive, where groups or solo developers are given a short, phrase theme.
The theme of this year's jam was One-Time Use, which we turned into a science-fiction shooter where the player controls a military android whose weapons only contain a single shot.
